The brief
To design the Hi-Lube 10,000 engine oil product for MB Lubricants, using Photoshop and 3D modelling to improve both its visual appeal and its function.
Process
I worked in Photoshop and 3D modelling programs, focusing on a product that offers protection, lubrication and durability for engines, transmissions and other mechanical components across different vehicles.
Outcome
A product designed to reduce wear, guard against corrosion and oxidation, minimise abrasion risk and keep components running smoothly over long periods, including under the extreme temperatures found in engines and transmissions.
The label
Hi-Lube set in white above 10000 in yellow, with the 20W-50 grade and API SL rating beneath. The grade number carries more weight than the brand name, which is how the pack is read on a shelf. A European Specifications strip carries flag marks and vehicle pictograms, and a cyan wireframe car runs down the right side.
